Obituary for Ervin Stewart (Buddy) Cobb

Ervin Stewart (Buddy) Cobb, age 60, took his final step of faith from this earthly shore to his Heavenly shore on April 15, 2017. He was welcomed by his mother, Dora Lee Cobb; father, J. B. Cobb; brothers, Pete, Jerry, Tommy, and Larry Cobb and niece, Tammy Cobb.

He is survived by his daughters, Becky Barfield, Amanda Miller (Aaron), Melody Cobb, former wife Sherry Nelson, five grandchildren, Briar and Britt Barfield, Blaise Cobb, Lily and Colliar Miller. He is also survived by his sisters, Norma Jean Bozeman and Joann Ammons (Roy), sister-in-law, Josephine Cobb, all of Panama City; and by his sisters Tina Preston (Dallas) and Edna Riley (Charles) of Marianna, 20 nieces and nephews, 37 great nieces and nephews, and four great-great nieces and nephews.

Buddy was born in Panama City, Florida on October 6, 1956. He was the owner of Bay Customized Concrete. Buddy loved his family with an unending love and was always looking to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. His final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

The family would like to say a very special thank you to the doctors and staff of Bay Medical Center SICU for all of the patience, compassion and care that was shown to the family and to Buddy during his final days. Also his family would like to say a special thank you to his daughter Becky for her endless love and care for her daddy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Springfield Community Church. Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 pm; service will begin at 6:00 pm. Please join the family in celebrating the life of Buddy.
