Obituary for James A. Wilcox

James A. Wilcox, 91, of Panama City, FL, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018. He was born August 21, 1926 in Jefferson, Texas.

James enjoyed reading and using his imagination. He would often explore new ideas and create new inventions. He was a man of faith and was an ordained Baptist Minister. James was also a loving father and grandfather, and his presence will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rossie Lee Wilcox, parents, Thomas and Valley (Tolleson) Wilcox, and three infant siblings.

Those left to cherish James’ memory include his two daughters, Annette Johnson (Bob) of Panama City and Caron Arlene Trout of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren, Danette Kerry Lee (Brad V. Milner) of Panama City, David Nathaniel Woods of Panama City, Lottie Avalee Langer (Jeff) of Panama City and Mary Trout of Dallas, TX; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will begin 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 16, 2018 at Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Dan Ridener officiating. The family will receive friends beginning 10:00 A.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Parker Cemetery.
