Obituary for Jeanette Lynn Nichols

Jeanette Lynn Nichols, 67, of Panama City, FL, went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 1, 2017. She was born May 20, 1950 in Perry, FL to Luther & Lydia Lynn. She was a member of Hiland Park Baptist Church. Jeanette loved working with children. She was a school teacher and active in children’s ministries at her church for many years. She eventually retired from Southport Elementary School. She loved her family with all of her heart and will be greatly missed.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Nichols; father and mother-in-law, Louie J. & Vertice Nichols.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 46 years, Jimmy Nichols; daughter, Melanie & husband Burtt Howle; son, Jason Nichols & wife Niki; six grandchildren, Byron Howle, Justin Howle, Kendall Howle, Reid Nichols, Cade Nichols and Marlee Nichols; four brothers, Tommy Lynn, Ray Lynn, Kenneth Lynn and Rex Lynn; sister, Claudette Courtney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M., Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 5, 2017 at Hiland Park Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice or Hiland Park Baptist Church Building Fund.
