Obituary for Maxine Morris

Maxine Morris, 86, of Panama City, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018. She was born January 10, 1932 in Woodway, Virginia to the late Auxier and Reva Vance.

Maxine was a substitute Sunday school teacher at Cedar Grove Baptist Church where she was a member. She was employed for over 30 years as a corporate secretary for the Chrysler Corporation, and Crestview Baptist Church in Dayton, OH. She loved caring for people, and her family. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Merle Vance; two sisters, Joan Vance Lipps and Judith Vance Bulcher; and granddaughter, Jamie Rachael Watts.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Kimberly L. Seedorf and Vonda Morris both of Panama City; brother, Gary D. Vance and wife Carol of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren Thaddeus “Thad” Morris, Tarra Crompton, Amos E. Brock, and Jesse E. Brock; and one great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Fulcher.

Funeral services will begin 3:00 P.M., Friday, September 7, 2018 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Key officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Brown Cemetery.
