Obituary for Ruth Stewart Tucker

Ruth Stewart Tucker, 86, of Moss Point, MS, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017. She was born April 12, 1931 in Winter Haven, FL to the late Angus and Lunnie Bea Barfield. She was a loving caretaker of many, including her sisters before they passed away. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and spending time with her fur-baby, Mason. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and wife and for her selfless giving.

Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert E. Stewart and Charlie B. Tucker; daughter, Bobbie Jean Stewart; step-son, Keith Tucker; and ten siblings.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda R. Bilyk, Marie Annette (Gerard) Parfait, Shirley (Terry) Brown, and Alta (Mark) Harris; step-sons, Rickey (Karen) Tucker and Jerry (Kathleen) Tucker; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in the chapel at Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour to prior to the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Mrs. Tucker’s name to the charity of your choice.
