Obituary for Tamra Lou Pettis

Tamra Lou Pettis, 58, of Youngstown, FL, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018. She was born April 11, 1959 in Lexington, North Carolina.

Tamra grew up in North Carolina, and moved to Florida in 1977. During her earlier years, she was a factory worker. As the years progressed, she dedicated her life to all of the children around her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Geraldean Owens; father, Bryce Lewis Owens; sister, Vickie Geraldean Broadway; and brother-in-law, Ronnie Petterson.

Those left to cherish Tamra’s memory include her husband, James “Jim” Morris Pettis; two sisters, Kathy Diane Tysinger (Allen) and Karen Deloras Petterson; brother-in-law, Mike Broadway; daughter, Andrea Lynn Bradford (Rick); two sons, James Daniel Pettis (Jada) and Brian Allen Pettis; goddaughter, Salina Pettis; six grandchildren, Tamra “Marissa” Griffin, Miranda Griffin, James Pettis, Corben Pettis, Kyler Cook and Justice Bradford; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends she took in as her own, and lots of extended family who loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, February 12, 2018 at Refuge Assembly of God in Parker, FL. Funeral services will begin 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Refuge Assembly of God with Pastor Danny Davis and Associate Pastor James Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Pastor Glen Miller officiating.
