Edna “Faye” Carter, 77, went to be with the Lord, Friday, November 16, 2018. She was born April 25, 1941 in Boaz, AL.

She was a wonderful wife, mom, maw maw, sister, aunt, and friend; but she loved God above all. She worked for Sunshine Jr. Foods, for many many years, in Catering and Delicatessen Division. After they closed, she worked for Bayou George Grocery Store, and Garners for 18 years in the deli department. She took pride in everything she cooked.

She loved to go fishing and camping with her family; especially with her grandson Riley, and her late her husband Leon. She loved to cook and bake for her family, and her church family, Oasis of Love Tabernacle. She loved canning, and jelly making with her sister Barbara. She had a love for gardening, and any flower or tree that was given to her. She had all varieties of Lillie’s , roses and numerous trees. She loved to sit and watch the humming birds from her kitchen table. Her greatest love was for God and her family, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. According to her there were none better or smarter than her family, all you had to do was ask her. She was a very proud grandma!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sampson Leon Carter; parents, Avis Mirl and Scewilla O’Neal; brothers, Calvin and Buddy O’Neal; sisters, Clara B. O’Neal, Mary St. John, and Louise Thompson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Linda Riddle and Sandra Todd (Daryl), of Panama City, FL and Brenda Taylor, of Arley, AL; grandchildren, Samson Riddle (Bridget), Amber Jernigan (Michael), Tasha Henderson (Chris), John Taylor (Sharron), Ashley Hines (Josh), Rheachel Dailey, Riley Dailey and Brandon Rutherford; great-grandchildren, Kailin, Wyatt and Gabriel Riddle, Carter Jernigan, Connor and Bella Henderson, Ava Hines and Evan Taylor; bonus grandchildren, Kenyon Williams, Ashley Todd, Courtney Martin (Austin) and Taylor Todd; bonus great-grandchildren, Rylan Todd and Baby Martin 2019; sisters, Dot Perry, Dora Parker and Barbara Penton (David); best friend, Myra Everett; numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, family and friends.
